Mountain running Worlds – Italy, part 2

It was an awesome experience to be part of the US mountain running team for World Championships! Selected based on US Mountain Running Championships in June, the team convened on July 27th in Premana, Italy. Our single race would be held on July 30th, starting off with junior 1-lap races in the morning, followed by the senior women and senior men with 2 laps of a 6.5k loop, for a total of 13k. Italy, part 1

The first half of my trip to Italy has flown by in a whirlwind of activities! I could have happily spent my whole trip at any one of the places I’ve visited, but that just means I’ll need to come back to see more of each area at a later time. My trip started on July 19th, and I’ll be back to the US on July 31st.

Now that I’m in Premana, Italy, and actually taking a little down time, I have the opportunity to reflect on the first half of the trip. Premana is the venue for the Mountain Running World Championships, which is coming up tomorrow! Continue reading “Italy, part 1”
