It’s that time again, snow is on the ground in much of the Northern world, and I’m back to Scandinavia starting out a new racing season!
I left my home training base of Craftsbury, VT on November 16th, after a great summer and fall of training. Maybe more on that later, but for now it’s time to focus on the present moments. The first stop of this European tour was Beitostolen, Norway, where the whole US Ski Team and Period 1 World Cup US starters were convening for a training camp and warm-up races.

The first half of my trip to Italy has flown by in a whirlwind of activities! I could have happily spent my whole trip at any one of the places I’ve visited, but that just means I’ll need to come back to see more of each area at a later time. My trip started on July 19th, and I’ll be back to the US on July 31st.

On January 30-31st, I traveled from Sweden to South Korea to compete for the USA in 3 days of World Cup cross-country ski races. It was exciting and a little surreal to travel to Asia for a weekend of racing. Continue reading “Skiing in Korea!” →
